Volgodonsk Electrode Plant has been operating since 1985. The manufacture traditions have always been the distinguishing feature of our plant. Formerly Volgodonsk Electrode Plant was a part of the legendary JSC “EMK-Atommash” and produced welding electrodes for nuclear industry. Our Plant’s personnel and labour staff were almost completely formed from EMK-Atommash. Due to this fact the Atommash’s professional approach to the production process, strict technological discipline and high corporate culture remain on the Plant. The majority of the staff has a large experience in manufacturing of special purpose welding consumables. Our key specialists have undergone a professional training on the largest Russian and German factories. All these enable us to produce high-quality welding electrodes and constantly improve our manufacture.

Welding electrodes produced by Volgodonsky Electrode Plant are approved by Certificate of conformance GOST R (Russian Government Standard); Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, National Association of Control and Welding; and have the license of GosAtomNadzor (GAN, former Russian Federal Inspectorate for Nuclear and Radiation Safety).

We supply enterprises of power-, oil and gas, aircraft- and machine-construction, chemical, and building industries. Our welding electrodes are exported to CIS, Eastern Europe and Asia.

Our welding electrodes undergo tightened quality inspection at every production stage. Only welding consumables and welding wire which has been approved at the Plant’s laboratory are permitted to be used in production process.

What can we guarantee?

At first – excellent performance of welding electrodes.

The imbibition resistance of our welding electrodes coating lets to decrease Hydrogen content in all-weld metal, and as a result – to reduce the possibility of crack formation in all-weld metal as well as in a heat-affected area. Application of welding electrodes manufactured by Volgodonsk Electrode Plant enables

- to exclude tendency to cavitation;

- to provide “softer” and stable arcing;

- to achieve less scattering;

- to easily form and segregate slag crust.

Secondly – constant wide range of welding electrodes in stock in any quantities demanded by customers.

Volgodonsky Electrode Plant produces 600 MT of welding electrodes monthly. The same quantities are always available in stock. Our range of products include about 85 grades of welding electrodes with diameters from 2.0 mm to 6.00 mm of general and special purpose for use in different industries. The laboratory of Volgodonsky Electrode Plant is also able to develop any welding grade according to customers’ requirements. Welding electrodes are packed in carton boxes of 1 kg, 5 kg and 20 kg weight, and then wrapped in shrinkable film.
